Anniversary through jewellery design.
This competition invites creative minds to
showcase the nation's remarkable journey,
growth, and national identity. As well as celebrating the
longstanding Singapore-Italy partnership that has grown in
cultural, economic, and diplomatic
exchanges over the decades.
THEME
Designs should reflect aspects of Singapore’s journey as a nation - highlighting multiculturalism, modernity, growth, tradition, national pride, and the strong Singapore-Italy partnership.
GRAND PRIZE
- A 0.60 carat round-brilliant cut
diamond, engraved on the girdle with the winner’s name and
‘SG 60 DES Design Competition Winner'
- Airticket and accomodation for winning designer, and a free
booth to showcase winning design at Vicenza Oro September 2025.
SUBMISSION PERIOD
Submission Period: 14 April – 30 June 2025.
Winner Announcement: 11 July 2025 at SIJE Singapore

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
- Eligibility: Open to both local and international designers.
- Materials: Use only gold, natural diamonds, precious and / or semi-precious gemstones
- Design Presentation: Submit high-quality digital renderings or hand-drawn sketches of your design.
- Design Concept: Provide an explanation of how your design incorporates the themes of SG60 and reflects the spirit of the Singapore-Italy relationship.
- Materials & Sustainability: Include detailed material specifications, including diamonds or any specific metals. Highlight potential sustainable sourcing practices.
- Cost: The manufacturd cost of the finished piece must not exceed an approximate retail price of S$30,000.
- Production Timeline: Outline your plan for developing the design, especially if selected as the winning piece.
JUDGING CRITERIA
- Creativity & Originality: How unique and innovative the design is.
- Relevance to Theme: How well the design interprets the SG60 theme and the Singapore-Italy relationship.
- Craftsmanship & Technicality: Attention to detail and how well the design could be executed.
- Cultural Significance: How the design incorporates Singaporean or Italian cultural elements.
- Wearability: How practical would the design be in real-world jewellery collections.
